Antollini Otic is a filipino artists based in Surrey/Hampshire with a BA (Hons) in Photography from University For the Creative Arts in Farnham.
His Practice focuses on young adults and the LGBTQ+ community and often begins with conversations with his subjects to identity shared issues and experiences. Otic works collaboratively, exchanging skills with other artists and sharing knowledge of photography with those eager to learn. Skilled in both analog and digital photography Otic work’s carefully constructed through lighting in studios and on locations set-ups. In ongoing work, Otic explires self-validation through the perspective of the community, and specifically internalised issues within the community(including body shaming, exclusionanry tribes, and race) Otic’s recent work, Moment when you realised this is adulthood - probes at he psyche of being a young adult investigating the existential issues (such as finding a job, and gaining independence) and adapting to the transitions of maturity.
